To provide the highest quality instruction in a variety of academic disciplines, through the curricular offerings of the three constituent campuses, which reflects the national development agenda of Sierra Leone. It is predicated on the realization that the University of Sierra Leone will continue to maintain and enhance excellence in all its endeavours so that the graduates it produces can be globally competitive in the job market.

The University of Sierra Leone (USL) a public university in Sierra Leone is currently made up of three constituent colleges/campuses.

Fourah Bay College

Fourah Bay College (FBC)

Founded on 18th February 1827, the college holds the historic record of being the oldest constituent college of the University of Sierra Leone.

Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM)

The establishment of IPAM can be traced to 1970. It came as a result of a government white paper on education which proposed the closure of the Civil Service Training College.

College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS)

COMAHS is the first medical school in Sierra Leone after it was founded on the 12th of April 1988, by the Government of Sierra Leone with support from the Nigerian Government and the World Health Organization.

Established by the Church Missionary Society as the first Western-style university in West Africa.
